Today was my first day of the season on the ski hill (Whistler). It's raining in the valley and pretty mild, but up high it is cold and snowing, and a big jolt to my system, reminding me what winter feels like. I always find each year that my first few days up in the mountains chill me to the bone, and I cannot wear enough layers to feel warm. You would think being part scandi/part canadian I would be more accustomed to cold, but I think I am some genetic hybrid that turned out the opposite. Like 2 negatives making a positive. Only the positive value is not a very positive attribute! Anyways, the reason I posted 3 lovely summer photos from the Okanagan area, is to remind me what it was like to be warm again....
